Directions

The importance of benchmark information cannot be overstated in today’s competitive environment.  Please join us as we learn the resources available from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and how to access and use them.  According to an article in Forbes Magazine, “the average Human Resources (HR) team is sitting on a data gold mine.”  What gives our data context is how we compare ourselves to our respective universes.  Be it regional, statewide, national or industry comparisons, knowing how you compare can assist your organizations in maintaining that competitive advantage.  In short, data allows us to look before we leap.

Learning Objectives

Attendees will learn:

·          BLS resources on employment, occupational wages, benefits provisions, and working conditions.

·          How to navigate the BLS website to find the data you need.
